Every dollar this tournament raises goes to Haven House Services, a Raleigh-based nonprofit helping young people be safe, supported, and successful since 1973.
Who Haven House serves
Haven House Services works with youth and young adults ages 6-24 - most between 11 and 17 - who are facing homelessness, family crisis, trauma, mental-health challenges, trouble at school, or involvement with the court system. Roughly 90-95% of the young people they serve live in poverty or low-income households.
The organization is entirely local - it is not affiliated with any national group - and nearly all of its services are provided free of charge. It began in 1973 when local leaders saw that young people in crisis needed somewhere safe to go, and more than 50 years later it's still that place.

Wrenn House: the only one for 90 minutes in any direction
Haven House operates Wrenn House, an emergency shelter for young people ages 10-17 who are experiencing homelessness, have run away, or are facing another crisis. It is the only emergency shelter serving this age group within roughly a 1.5-hour radius of Raleigh - which makes every safe night there matter for the whole Triangle.
What that looks like in one life
Haven House's latest annual report tells the story of a young man they call Beckham. At 18 he was living in a car with his mother and two teenage siblings. Through Haven House's Street Outreach program he kept working, earned his high-school diploma, and with their guidance secured a housing voucher that moved his family into stable housing. Today he works full-time and serves on Haven House's Youth Advisory Board, advocating for other young people in the situation he escaped.
